The government’s I&B Ministry complained that the scenes were “indecent”, “vulgar” and “denigrated women”.
TV channel Star World has recently been issued a notice by the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) for airing a Grey's Anatomy episode that featured two characters discussing gay sex.
The BCCC is an industry-led self-regulatory body that examines content-related complaints against general entertainment channels in India.

According to a Times of India report, the government's complaint said that the scenes were "indecent", "vulgar" and "denigrated women".

Head of the BCCC, Justice (retired) Mukul Mudgal, also thought that the scenes were explicit and objectionable.
"Keeping Indian audiences in mind we felt that the scenes were not tasteful. So we have asked them to respond,'' a senior BCCC member told TOI.
